Privacy Policy
Effective May 28, 2026
DevCove (devcove.dev) provides browser-based developer tools and educational content. This policy explains what information is and is not collected when you use the site.
Summary
Most DevCove tools run entirely in your browser. Text, files, and values you enter into a tool are processed locally on your device and are not uploaded to DevCove servers for those tool workflows.
We do not offer user accounts or require sign-in to use the public toolbox. We aim to collect only what is needed to operate, secure, and improve the website.
Information we do not collect from tools
For standard toolbox features (formatters, converters, generators, and similar utilities), we do not receive the content you type, paste, upload, or generate. Processing happens in your browser using client-side code served as static assets from our hosting provider.
Do not use share links, email, or third-party channels to transmit secrets you would not want others to see. Share links encode state in the URL and may be visible in browser history or server logs depending on how you share them.
- We do not ask for passwords to use public tools.
- We do not store your tool input on DevCove-operated application servers for normal local-processing tools.
- We do not sell personal information.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, DevCove receives basic technical data when you load pages. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics on devcove.dev to understand aggregate traffic—such as page views, referrers, browser type, and coarse geographic region—without using third-party advertising cookies for that analytics product.
Our hosting and CDN provider (Cloudflare) may process connection metadata (for example IP address, user agent, and requested URL) to deliver pages, mitigate abuse, and provide platform logs. We do not use that data to identify individual users for marketing profiles.
We may use Google Search Console to monitor search performance (impressions, clicks, indexing). That data reflects how search engines interact with public pages, not the content you enter into tools.
Cookies and local storage
DevCove may store small preferences in your browser, such as theme (light/dark) or pinned tools, using local storage or similar browser APIs. These stay on your device unless you clear site data.
Cloudflare Web Analytics is designed to be privacy-friendly and does not rely on cross-site tracking for basic page metrics. If we add advertising (for example Google AdSense) in the future, we will update this policy to describe any advertising cookies, partners, and opt-out options before or when those features go live.
Third-party services
DevCove is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Page assets are served through Cloudflare’s network. Analytics and security features may be provided by Cloudflare under their own terms and privacy notices.
If we embed or link to external sites (documentation, standards references, or partner pages), their privacy practices apply when you leave DevCove.
Children’s privacy
DevCove is intended for developers and general technical audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a contact channel, email us and we will review the request.
International visitors
DevCove is available globally. If you access the site from outside your home country, your connection may be routed through infrastructure in other regions as part of normal CDN delivery. We do not intentionally target localized data-residency guarantees beyond what our hosting provider offers.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our practices, tools, or legal requirements change. We will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
