About this tool

DevCove App Icon Set Generator turns an existing logo into a practical multi-size PNG package. It does not design or invent a logo. Use one square crop or contain layout, select the store, iOS, and Android sizes you need, then download individual files or a flat zip.

How to use this tool

Generate a multi-size package from artwork you already own:

  1. Upload, drop, or paste the highest-resolution version of your existing logo.
  2. Choose Cover to crop a square or Contain to keep the full logo on a solid background.
  3. Select store, iOS, and Android sizes. Clear any files your project does not need.
  4. Generate the PNG set, review the results, and download individual files or a zip.

Features

Focused on browser-local app icon resizing:

  • App Store 1024px and Google Play 512px listing outputs.
  • Common iOS app, Spotlight, Settings, and notification pixel sizes.
  • Android legacy launcher mdpi through xxxhdpi PNG sizes.
  • Square cover crop or contain padding with a solid background.
  • Selectable outputs, stable filenames, individual download, and flat zip export.
  • Images are processed locally in your browser and are not uploaded.

FAQ

Does this use AI to create an app icon?

No. You upload existing artwork. The tool only crops, pads, resizes, and exports it.

Does the zip import directly into Xcode or Android Studio?

It is a flat PNG package with clear filenames, not a generated Xcode asset catalog or Android resource project. Place the files in the structure required by your project.

Why are 216px, 108px, and adaptive icon layers not included?

Adaptive icons require separate foreground, background, safe-zone, and mask semantics. A single flattened resize would be misleading, so the first version provides standard store, iOS, and legacy Android PNG outputs only.

Should I use Cover or Contain?

Use Cover for artwork intended to fill the square. Use Contain when the entire logo must remain visible; a solid background fills the remaining space.

Can a small source image produce a sharp 1024px icon?

The tool can resize it, but upscaling cannot restore missing detail. Start with a source at least 1024×1024 when possible.

How is this different from the Favicon Generator?

This tool targets native app and store icon sizes. Favicon Generator targets website favicons, Apple touch icons, PWA files, HTML links, and web manifests.

Which guides should I read before submitting?

Start with the App Store & Google Play Listing Assets guide and the iOS & Android App Icon Sizes guide, then confirm screenshot rules for each platform.
