Google Play Feature Graphic Size (1024×500)
Official Google Play feature graphic requirements and how to crop the banner locally before publishing your store listing.
Every Google Play listing needs a feature graphic: a wide banner used at the top of your store page and in promotional placements. Unlike phone screenshots, this asset has a fixed pixel size.
Official feature graphic specs
From Google Play preview asset help:
| Property | Value |
|---|---|
| Dimensions | 1024 × 500 px (exact) |
| Format | JPEG or 24-bit PNG (no alpha) |
| Quantity | One per listing language |
There is no “close enough” size—1024×501 will fail. Avoid transparency; flatten the artwork before export.
Phone screenshots are separate
Google Play phone screenshots use flexible min/max dimensions and aspect ratios (typically 9:16 portrait or 16:9 landscape). Recommended export targets such as 1080 × 1920 are common, but they are not the same rules as the feature graphic.
Keep the banner and screenshots as separate exports.
Crop locally in the browser
- Start from a high-resolution marketing image or screenshot collage.
- Open App Market Image Resizer → Google Play.
- Select Feature graphic 1024×500 (and any screenshot presets you need).
- Crop each preset, export the zip, and verify the checklist before upload.
Images never leave your device during processing.
Quick checklist
- Feature graphic is exactly 1024×500
- No alpha channel on PNG
- Key text/logo sits in the center safe zone (edges may crop on TV/promo surfaces)
- At least two phone screenshots uploaded separately
Confirm the latest rules in Play Console before you publish.
